DETROIT — Honda is recalling half one million autos within the US and Canada as a result of entrance seat belts might not have interaction correctly.
The recall applies to a few of the automaker’s best-selling fashions, together with the 2017 to 2020 CR-V, the 2018 and 2019 Accord, the 2018 to 2020 Odyssey and the 2019 Perception. Additionally included is the 2019 and 2020 Acura RDX fashions.

Honda says in paperwork launched Wednesday by US regulators that the floor end on the buckle channel can deteriorate over time. The discharge button can shrink within the channel at colder temperatures, growing friction and stopping the buckle from snapping.
If the buckle doesn’t latch, the driving force or passenger could also be unbuckled in a collision, growing the chance of damage.

Honda says it has no stories of accidents attributable to the problem.
Sellers will substitute the entrance seat belt buckle launch buttons or buckle assemblies as wanted. Homeowners might be notified by letter beginning April seventeenth.
